Now see the right data based on your timezone

As we’ve grown, so have our customers and with many customers who support a large number of users spread over geographic areas, time zone management is pretty important.

For databases that contain transactions timestamped with the current UTC date/time, you can now configure the user’s timezone so that all date criteria applied to reports will bring back the proper values they expect to see.

Now timezone is a parameter in the User Profile section that can be configured manually by an admin user or configured programmatically via our API for partner integration use cases.

We plan to continue to improve this by allowing users to update their timezone setting via their My Profile access screen.

Quickly show off your data with the right format and precision

They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression, we say the way your numbers are presented on a visualization are the difference between people understanding your data or not. It’s a lot easier to understand the importance of $10,234.35 than 10234.3502349345 and $10.2k may be even better.

In the past, all the number formatting and labels had to be handled as part of building your data set in Yurbi. This meant using some complex formulas and data types, that frankly deviated from the spirit of self-service BI in our opinion.

We’re excited to announce this update because it makes the process of customizing your number formats, labels, and precision super simple.

Now included in our Chart Wizard (also in our KPI Wizard and soon to be available on Data Grids) all you have to do is bring your raw data into the wizard and you can automatically set the display to be Currency, Large Number, Percentage, Fixed Point and set the precision desired with just a few clicks.

This means that not only can the Builder in Yurbi save how they want the visualizations to appear, the view-only Agent users can personalize it via the Chart Wizard for their own purposes and export or print the visualization the way they want it to appear.

Check out this example to get started.

Easily show static thresholds in Yurbi visualizations

One of our customers requested an easy way to add a static threshold line to their charts without having to add the number as part of their dataset. We agreed it was a good idea and now you can easily do it via the Chart Wizard.

Builders can now add a constant line as part of a Stacked Column, Bar, Column, Line, or Area chart and save it for viewing in the Library and Dashboard.

Agent users can also leverage the new feature on any existing charts so that when they print of export the chart their desired threshold is present.

It’s really simple to use, check out the graphic below.

CA Service Desk Premium App now includes session logs

We received a customer request inquiring if they could report on the CA Service Desk Manager session logs and we said of course you can.

We updated our premium app for CA Service Desk Manager to include a new report type, Session Logs. It gives you full access to report on all the logs and associate the activities with any of the Contact details you need (of course without having to write any code or know anything about that complicated CA database).

We beefed up the Yurbi audit logs to track deletes

A customer asked us if we could tell who deleted a report and to our surprise, we did not have that captured in our audit logs. 😱

Well, not anymore. We added that tracking so that you can run a report on who is deleting reports, folders, or dashboards in Yurbi and for now when.

This is very useful for doing a database restore as we continue to plan for an archive and restore feature built into Yurbi (stay tuned). See the new audit log setting below.
